"Unresolved." "END". Batman: A Death in The Family

Is being silent a form of expression? Do you stay silent and trust that someone else will say something next? Should you stay silent to give people their space? To not make things any worse? Is being silent considerate? An act of compassion?

Is being silent a form of repression? Does it prevent true understanding?  Is it a way for you to avoid asking yourself questions whose answers may impact you? Is it a way to evade accountability? Is being silent cowardly? An act of indifference?

How do you understand someone? How do you make someone understand you?

Should you remain silent and omit the truth? Or should you communicate, and let the truth be known?

Should you seek clarity? Or should you run away from it should it make you feel worse? We all know ignorance is bliss. Is truth misery?

Can you take back your painfully loud silence? It takes many words to do that... Can you take back your truthful words? How many more words would that take?

Should you have said something instead of being silent? Should you have remained silent instead of saying something?

What if neither seem to work? What if it feels like your words pierce, but your silence impales still?

How much should you care? How long will you ask yourself whether you should be silent or communicative?

Maybe radical acceptance is the answer. Maybe time is the answer. Who can say for sure?

Some ships just drift apart, some conversations never take place. Maybe all you can really do is reflect, try your best to make amends, and then keep your head held high, keep looking forward, keep moving, and embrace the future.
